Alt Columnist exists to review and report on all things alternative music. (Everything from indie pop to alt-rock to pop punk to singer/songwriter to folk and all the things in between!) We mainly focus on album reviews or shining the spotlight on a featured artist. If you would like us to discuss a particular album, artist, or other topic pertaining to alternative music, send us a request at our contact page here. We also accept music submissions from artists, record labels, promotional groups, and management teams alike. We try our best to listen to every piece of material that comes our way and hopefully follow up with the submitter about the work. We love expanding our horizons of music taste and variety as wide as possible.
The Alt Col community can be found on Twitter (@AltColumnist) where we also post quick updates and news. We retweet new albums, singles, music videos, announcements (tour, album, etc.), and more from the artists and bands we follow. If you are an upcoming artist or band and you would like for us to follow you, we would be more than happy to! Just follow us or shoot us a message. We love promoting artists and helping spread the word.
If you are interested in advertising/promotion opportunities, head over to our contact page and shoot us a message! You can also email us directly at email@example.com. We prefer digital items, but please send all physical items to this entire address: UM Box 2154, PO Box 6571, Montevallo, AL 35115.
Thank you for your support, it means the world to us.

Check out our frequently asked questions here.
Alt Columnist does not support, condone, or tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, transphobia, ethnocentrism, religious intolerance, or any other form of hatred, discrimination, bigotry, and oppression. “Alt” simply stands for alternative, as in alternative music. We are in no way affiliated with or condoning of the so-called alt-right movement and denounce (and are disgusted by) their rhetoric entirely. Thank you for understanding!
Listen to alternative music, not the alt-right.
